Hacks To Survive Winter

Baby, It’s cold outside! Having a couple of simple winter hacks up your sleeve can help making this icy season go by with a little more ease.

To prevent a frosty windshield:

Lay a towel between your windshield and your windshield wipers to avoid frost in the mornings and to keep your windshield wipers from freezing onto your windshield.

To make a budget hand warmer:

Fill an old sock of your preferred size with rice and tie a knot at the opening. Put the sock in the microwave for 45 seconds for a reusable hand or body warmer.

To make shoveling snow a little easier:

Spray your shovel with nonstick cooking spray so that snow does not stick to it.

To get your car out of snow:

If you are stuck in the snow and need traction to get your car moving, stick your car’s floor mat underneath its tires for some traction. Don’t forget to pick up the mat before you drive away!

To clean your windshield in a pinch:

If you can’t find or don’t have an ice scraper, use a hard kitchen spatula (not a metal one) or even a credit card to scrape your windows.
